¿When we use say or tell?
Say: (Past tense
-> Said)
We use “say/ said” when we say something to other
person, without involving them.
Example:
D.S: Michael “I like
football”.
R.S: Michael said he liked football.
Tell: (Past tense
-> Told)
We
use “tell/ told” when we say
something to someone. You can identify it when we use “told me” “told her” “told him” “told we” “told you”
Example:
D.S:
Britney “I’m going to buy you an ice
cream”.
R.S: Britney told me she was going to buy me an ice cream.

Yes/ No questions:
We use “if” replacing the auxiliary verb “do/ does”
Example:

Wh-questions:

rewrite the same sentence applying all the changes that you make to a normal
reported sentence, keeping the wh-question, and erasing the auxiliary verb.
Example:

asked what time it was.
